Backendz started in a spare room of an apartment: two software developers, one table, two chairs and a $100 project on Fiverr. We delivered it, the client came back, and the work grew from there. The habit we kept from those days is staying on after launch to keep systems running.

In 2020 the team outgrew the apartment and moved into our own office. More engineers joined, and the work grew from single projects into long-term builds for companies across Europe, the Middle East and North America: web platforms, mobile apps and integrations, delivered in short sprints across time zones.

By 2022 we were delivering AI projects alongside the software around them: document AI for finance teams, computer vision on cameras a business already had, and machine learning on operational data. We built them in Python and PyTorch and run them on AWS and Azure, with monitoring once they are live.

In 2025 Backendz registered in the UK and began working directly with UK businesses. We contract under English law, with a London presence and the same engineering team behind every build.

Today a team of engineers, designers and product people builds bespoke software, AI systems and our own platforms, ShiftTracker and Joblogy. Each project is scoped, designed, built and supported by the same team, on .NET, Node.js, React, React Native and Python, deployed on AWS and Azure.
