Software testing that catches bugs before your customers do

Backendz tests web apps, mobile apps and platforms with the right mix of automated and manual testing: regression suites for the flows that matter, real-device mobile testing and load testing before big launches.

Or see how we engage first — four shapes, no sales call required.

  • QA audits
  • Test strategy
  • Test plans
  • Manual testing
  • Exploratory testing
  • Test automation
  • Unit & integration tests
  • End-to-end tests
  • API testing
  • Regression suites
  • Mobile device testing
  • Cross-browser testing
  • Performance & load testing
  • Accessibility testing
  • User acceptance testing
  • Bug triage

We stop bugs reaching the people who pay you

  • No more finding bugs when a customer emails a screenshot

  • Stop fixing one thing and breaking two others

  • Forget clicking through the same flows by hand before every release

  • Done with an app that works on one phone and crashes on another

  • Skip launch day surprises when real traffic arrives

  • Say bye to "we'll test it in production" as a plan

Why build software testing & qa with us?

Testers who know the code

Our QA works inside engineering teams, so tests target how the software actually breaks.

Tests where they pay

We automate the flows that break most and matter most, not chase a coverage number.

Manual where it matters

New features, usability and edge cases still get human eyes.

Plugged into delivery

Tests run automatically in your pipeline on every change (see DevOps).

How we engage

Four ways this usually starts

Most enquiries land in one of these. If yours does not, say so on the call — we would rather shape the engagement than sell you the nearest shape we have.

Most teams start here

Bugs keep reaching customers

Typical timeline: 2–4 weeks

  • QA audit of how you test today and where bugs come from
  • Regression suite for your critical flows
  • Tests run automatically on every change

Best for: products with recurring production issues

You're about to launch

  • Functional, performance and load testing
  • Real-device mobile and cross-browser testing
  • Clear go-live report of what must be fixed

Best for: launches, migrations and major releases

Your mobile app is unreliable

  • Testing across a matrix of real devices and OS versions
  • Crash analysis and reproduction
  • Automated checks for core journeys

Best for: apps with poor reviews or crash rates

You need QA as an ongoing service

  • Dedicated QA in your release cycle
  • Test plans for every new feature
  • Bug triage alongside your developers

Best for: teams without in-house QA

The people who have to live with what we build

Operations directors, CTOs and plant managers — the ones still using the system a year after the invoice cleared.

We wanted answers our team could check against the original document. Having the relevant clause beside the response makes the assistant useful when reviewing policies and contracts.
Emma CollinsHead of Business Operations at Clearbrook Advisory
We needed scheduling, availability and shift changes in one place. Backendz shaped the system around the way our operations team works and stayed involved after launch to help us refine it.

Our rental journey had to work for both vehicle owners and travellers. Backendz brought listings, availability and bookings together into a platform that feels straightforward to use.

We wanted a practical way to review PPE and safety-zone events using our existing cameras. The team focused on the situations our site managers need to investigate and made the footage easier to review.
Daniel BrooksSite Operations Manager at Oakmere Construction
A single headcount does not tell us where congestion is developing. The zone-based view gives our team a clearer picture of how people are moving and where attention may be needed.
Olivia ReedVenue Operations Director at Cedarhall Events
The priority was a counting workflow our warehouse team could use during a normal shift. Backendz connected image-based counts with the records we already use and made discrepancies easier to review.
Michael TurnerWarehouse Manager at Harbourline Logistics
Tender preparation involves gathering evidence and getting the right people to review each section. Backendz brought those steps into one workspace, with drafts our team can check and approve.
William ParkerBid Manager at Westhaven Technical Services
Our information was spread across several operational systems. Backendz designed a clearer way to ask questions, inspect the supporting evidence and keep approval with our team before an action is taken.
Charlotte HayesChief Operating Officer at Elmbridge Services Group
Our estimating process needed to reflect how we actually price work. Backendz took time to understand the inputs and rules, then built a quoting journey our team could review and refine.
Thomas MitchellManaging Director at Ridgewell Roofing & Cladding
The reconciliation workflow gives our finance team one place to review mismatches and supporting records. We can trace an exception back to its source and decide what needs attention.
Henry WilsonFinance Director at Ashford Distribution
The team took time to understand how our staff work between appointments. The resulting system brings scheduling and client information together without making the day more complicated.
Amelia FosterHead of Operations at Meadowcrest Care
We had outgrown the spreadsheets that held our pricing rules. Backendz helped turn that knowledge into a quoting tool we can maintain and explain to new colleagues.
George EvansManaging Director at Stonefield Fabrication
We could review working features throughout the build and give specific feedback. That made it easier to keep the product focused on the people using it.
Isabel MorganProduct Director at Brightpath Learning
Connecting our sales and inventory systems was the priority. The integration gives our team a clearer view of updates and a practical way to investigate records that need review.
Jack HarrisonTechnology Manager at Westbrook Retail
Our field team needed access to job details away from the office. The mobile workflow keeps the relevant information close at hand and gives the office a clearer view of progress.
Grace PhillipsOperations Lead at Alderway Field Services
The cloud work started with understanding our existing systems and dependencies. The team documented the setup and gave us a clearer basis for monitoring and ongoing maintenance.
Oscar BennettIT Director at Brookvale Manufacturing
We wanted a client portal that reflected how we deliver our services. Backendz brought documents, requests and progress updates into a straightforward experience for clients and staff.
Lily ThompsonCommercial Director at Willowbank Consulting
The engineers worked alongside our team and explained their decisions clearly. Code reviews and practical documentation helped us stay involved throughout delivery.
Freddie ClarkeHead of Engineering at Redwood Energy Services
Our teams were entering the same information into several tools. Backendz mapped the process with us and built a more connected workflow with clear review points.

FAQ

The things people ask before they commit.

Still have questions?

Ask it on the call. We would rather answer an awkward question early than discover it in month three.

Book a call
What is software testing and QA?

Software testing checks that software works as intended, finding bugs before users do. Quality assurance (QA) is the wider process around it: planning what to test, building automated tests, testing new features and making sure each release meets an agreed standard.

Do we need automated testing or is manual testing enough?

Most products need both. Automated tests check critical flows on every change, quickly and consistently. Manual testing is still valuable for new features, usability and edge cases. Backendz automates the repetitive checks so manual effort goes where it adds most.

What is regression testing?

Regression testing re-checks existing features after a change, to make sure nothing that used to work has broken. Automating it means every release is checked without hours of manual clicking.

Can you add testing to an existing product?

Yes. We start with the flows that matter most and break most often, add automated tests around them, then extend coverage over time. Older code can be tested too, often as a first step before modernising it.

Do you test mobile apps on real devices?

Yes. Backendz tests iOS and Android apps across a range of real devices and OS versions, combined with automated checks for core journeys, so problems on specific phones are found before release.

How is QA different from DevOps?

QA decides what to test and builds the tests. DevOps builds the pipelines that run those tests automatically and deploy the software. They work together: tests run inside the CI/CD pipeline on every change.
